1. FOUNDATION AND NAME

PIUSI was founded in 1953 by Eng. Franco Varini. Originally its name wasn’t PIUSI – pumps for MANY USES (PIU’ - USI) – but O.M.A.A.; Italian acronym for Mechanical Workshop for Agricultural Applications. The agricultural sector has always been at the heart of PIUSI activities representing its business starting point: the first product ever developed by the Company was a PTO pump for tractor washing.

2. PRODUCTS

Before becoming a leader in the diesel transfer pump sector, the sector of application of PIUSI pumps was washing; as these images testify.

During the first years of activity, the Company also began the production of some equipment completely outside the fuel transfer field and was really very different from the current equipment.

3. EXPORT

Today, PIUSI can count on a presence in 135 countries worldwide. The first country in which O.M.A.A. has exported its products was UK; specifically, London.

4. US BRANCH

PIUSI also has a presence in the USA with a branch based in Fort Lauderdale – Florida. The US Company was founded in 2009 and began its activities on September 16^th. It serves the North and South American markets.

5. STRONG GROWTH
