Changing the engine oil is one of the most important servicing operations for protecting vehicles – cars, vans and industrial vehicles alike.

This is because, mile after mile, the oil deteriorates, loses its properties and drops in level with the result that the engine is no longer protected properly.

The operation is generally carried out manually by the workshop mechanic. Although it is a simple and straightforward job, it takes time and the constant presence of an operator is needed when using oil recovery systems, such as the PIUSI EASY DRAINER 80 or the PIUSI VACU 80.

But did you know that you can perform the same operations faster, safer and more automatically?

The PIUSI VACUBOX can extract used oil from the engine through the dipstick pipe.

This cuts the time needed for the operation with the certainty of complete emptying, but even more importantly the operator can do something else while the system is running because the VACUBOX has a built-in electronic card that automatically turns off the pump once the tank has been emptied.

CHARACTERISTICS

The PIUSI VACUBOX is an electric automatic oil change system that complies with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU. It can be used at ambient temperatures between -10°C / +40°C without any problems.

The system consists of:

• a continuous cycle electric gear pump;
• a suction hose with probe holder (max. 10 metres);
• a delivery hose (max. 50 metres);
• a wall-mounted support kit.

OPERATION

VACUBOX can be used to transfer:

• engine oil;
• gearbox fluid;
• antifreeze.

It is not compatible with brake fluid or windscreen washer fluid.

The suction probe is inserted directly into the oil dipstick pipe to allow suction directly from the engine oil sump.
The probes have different sizes corresponding to different temperatures of use and flow rates (SAE 10W40 oil):

* From 10 to 15 minutes of engine idling time is normally sufficient to take the oil to the required temperature. Warming up is necessary for systems with a small probe.

An internal pump sucks up the oil and conveys it away into a centralised tank or collection device (not included in the system). A warning light indicates correct operation and alerts when the suction operation is complete.

The pressure switch controls suction and pressure at all times. The start button will flash indicating loss of power if the pressure drops below 0.4 bar.
