A gesture of solidarity to give hope for the future
We believe that, in order to create a better future, small gestures of solidarity are essential. In 2023, at Christmas, PIUSI again decided to show its closeness and affection to those in conditions of hardship.
The company therefore allocated a significant sum to three different nonprofit associations:
- Centro di aiuto alla vita (CAV) (Pro-Life Centre) of Mantua, a pro-life centre committed to hosting, listening to and supporting women, mothers, children and households who find themselves in situations of hardship.
- For more than 40 years, the Associazione Italiana Sclerosi Laterale Amiotrofica (AISLA Italian Association of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), has been actively campaigning nationwide for people with ALS, supporting research, training, information and assistance for people with ALS.
- The Fondazione Ospedale Pediatrico Meyer (Meyer Children’s Hospital Foundation) which supports communication, marketing and fundraising activities for the Florence Meyer Hospital, a benchmark for paediatric care, both in Italy and in Europe.
Since 2019, PIUSI has been supporting the social cooperative Il Bettolino, which welcomes and promotes the well-being of young people with disabilities through paths that allow the person to find work and recover their social dignity. We rely on the association to prepare the fruit that is distributed to our employees each month: the young people are responsible for bagging the fruit into single portions and dividing it into boxes.
For Christmas in 2023, when purchasing gifts for its employees, PIUSI chose Il Bettolino.
Our aim is to actively engage with those who are suffering or living in critical conditions in the hope that they will benefit from care and support. We accompany this commitment with the knowledge that these gestures need to be shared so that solidarity is a common goal, and attention to people is a core focus of our company.
