Beginning Jan 18 2022, all drivers that use the B.SMART system must download the newest version of the B.SMART APP in order to continue dispensing. The WEB APP manager was also updated to include new features. The SMART Fuel Management System by PIUSI continues to introduce upgrades allowing it to always be one step ahead.

With the new APP for drivers – released on January 18 – the PIUSI FMS enters a new era: creating a simple, more engaging user experience by becoming more intuitive. Simple. SMART.

At the same time, the site manager can count on a new WEB APP enriched with new features: now, more than ever, managing fuels and related costs is a daily challenge for many companies. Needs evolve and companies are looking for more sophisticated tools that guarantee a complete overview of fuel consumption in order to create actions to reduce unnecessary costs and allow continuous monitoring of the whole fleet.

Here are the latest novelties.

Vehicle/dispenser connection

If you have already installed the FUEL ECONOMY add-on (mandatory for this functionality), you can now connect all vehicles in the fleet to a specific dispenser in order to:

• allow only certain vehicle types the possibility to dispense (for example: agricultural diesel only to agricultural vehicles);
• avoid human error (for example: it is possible to limit the dispensing of a specific fluid/fuel only to vehicles that can use it);
• enable the use of certain dispensers only for specific vehicles (for example: dispensing only for trucks, not cars).

New Cost Report for vehicles/trips/drivers

Dedicated to all users who have already installed the TANK WATCHDOG add-on (this function requires mandatory activation - with FUEL ECONOMY reports on trips and vehicles), with the new Cost Report it is possible to not only know the quantity being dispensed, but to also know the value of the transactions or consumption of the vehicle, trip or driver:

• to see how much a journey costs in terms of fuel consumption and changes over time;
• to find out how much the vehicles have consumed during a specific period (for example: annually) in terms of gallons and value (dollars and local currencies).

An integrated Fuel Management System

Without a Piusi FMS, site managers manually enter data on multiple systems or excel files regularly to keep an updated overview of their fleet.

With this new API B:SMART update, it is possible to not only automate sharing information from the B.SMART to a Company ERP (such as SAP or Oracle), but it also fills in all of the information related to vehicles and drivers from these systems to B.SMART.

One phone, more users: the PIN code

It used to be a problem if someone’s phone died or wasn’t working. Now, B.SMART makes it possible to dispense from any smart device.

To start refueling, the driver just has to add his/her PIN code on a colleague’s smart device with the installed B.SMART APP on it. Once finished, log out.

Synchronization

The WEB APP for managers has also been upgraded with a new function that allows a visualized date and time of the latest synchronization in order to ensure that the data being checked is the most current.

• allows a new user experience, both for manager and driver;
• has a new navigation menu directly on the home page;
• optimizes connection time with the dispenser.
